Greetings from Texas! My name is Dr. Jennifer T. Edwards and I am proud of serve as a #LEAPTX Fellow (and blogger) for the State of Texas! First, let me introduce myself. I am an Associate Professor of Communication Studies, Assistant Vice-President for Student Success and Multicultural Initiatives (@TarletonSSMI), and the Texas Social Media Research Institute (@TSMRI) at Tarleton State University.

Each semester, I engage students in high impact educational practices in structured classes and through independent experiences. These high impact educational practices usually include: undergraduate research, study abroad, internships, service learning, leadership, and learning communities. 

I have also been academic blogger at Millennial Professor's View of Higher Education (http://www.millennialprofessor.com/) since Fall 2007 (which was the first year of my tenure track journey). Lately, I've been a vlogger/Periscoper at @drjtedwards, where I focus on assignments, syllabus creation, Google Documents, and social media.
